Community Medical Center of West Volusia, Florida (CMC) is a federally-certified rural health clinic with two established locations in Deland, FL and Orange City, FL. Community Medical Center's goal is to assist the underserved population by providing low cost medical care to the community.

Medical services currently provided by the CMC clinics include sick and health maintenance examinations for adults and children, totaling over 26,000 patient visits in 2007. A large number of patients seen by Community Medical Center are minorities, low-income families, and/or persons with disabilities. Our knowledgeable staff at both sites are experienced with the unique situations associated with serving persons with disabilities with the quality of care and attention they require and provide a comfortable and professional clinical environment for all patients. Our clinics provide low cost, high quality medical care to this particular demographic by offering services to Medicare and Medicaid patients and by using a sliding scale fee program.

Over 84% of our patient population are either Medicare or Medicaid eligible or fall below the 100-200% poverty level, as per federal poverty guidelines, and are considered eligible for the sliding scale fee program. The discounted/sliding fee schedule is used to ensure that no financial barriers exist for those who meet certain financial eligibility criteria; fees are set based on federal poverty guidelines; patient eligibility is determined by annual income and family size. Schedules are established and implemented to ensure that a non-discriminatory, uniform, and reasonable charge is consistently and evenly applied, on a routine basis.
